The “Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU), Stage 2, Forefoot” model by MEDICAL FX Germany is a realistic silicone model on a compact hexagonal base for the illustrative depiction of a diabetic foot ulcer at an advanced stage.
The model shows the sole of the foot with toes and reproduces, in the forefoot region — on the sole, beneath the metatarsophalangeal joints (metatarsal heads) — an open Stage 2 ulcer that already extends into deeper tissue layers, as typically occurs in diabetic neuropathy at pressure-bearing sites.
The model is suitable for the training and continuing education of medical professionals, as well as for courses in the field of wound management and diabetic foot syndrome. It is made of high-quality silicone with a realistic appearance.
