The Tablet Wound Model “4 Scar Model Keloid Scar, Atrophic Scar, Normal Scar, Hypertrophic Scar” by MEDICAL FX Germany combines four clinically relevant scar types on a single training model: the Normal Scar, the Atrophic Scar, the Hypertrophic Scar, and the Keloid Scar.
The Hypertrophic Scar and Keloid Scar are not only visible on the model but also palpable – both present as red, hardened lesions with thickened dermis that protrude clearly above the skin surface. While the Hypertrophic Scar remains within the original wound boundaries, the Keloid Scar typically grows beyond them – a key distinction that can be specifically trained using this model. Both scar types are hyperpigmented and realistically reproduced in their characteristic texture.
The model is ideal for training and further education in medicine, nursing, and cosmetics – for visual differentiation as well as haptic diagnostic practice.
